GIORGIO ARMANI SPONSORED THE ANNUAL AMFAR ‘CINEMA AGAINST AIDS’ GALA DINNER
Giorgio Armani sponsored the annual amFAR (American Foundation for AIDS Research) ‘Cinema Against AIDS’ charity event during this year’s Cannes Film Festival. For the occasion, Mr. Armani together with his niece Roberta Armani hosted two tables at the gala dinner which took place last night May 20th at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, in Cap d’Antibes, France.
Giorgio Armani has designed the look of the dinner space, the most prominent feature of which is an exhibition by New York street artist Richard Hambleton for whose work Mr. Armani has previously sponsored two exhibitions in New York and Milan.
In addition, Giorgio Armani has also designed a couture dress that was one of the lots in the live auction yesterday evening. The dress is a silk chiffon and crinoline Giorgio Armani Privé gown featuring an irregularly-pleated bodice, embroidered with sequins and Swarovski crystals.
