GIORGIO ARMANI TO DRESS ACADEMY AWARDS PARTICIPANTS
Giorgio Armani will dress selected nominees, presenters and guests at the 81st Annual Academy Awards, as well as guests at various events surrounding the Oscars. The show will take place on Sunday evening, February 22nd at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. The Oscars will be telecast live on ABC beginning at 5:00 pm PT / 8:00 pm ET. Anne Hathaway, nominated in the category of Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in “Rachel Getting Married,” will wear a champagne-colored strapless Armani Prive gown. The dress has a mermaid silhouette and features paillettes and Swarovski crystals on a diagonal. Details include a crystal band at the bust and waist line, which is pulled together in the back of the dress with an onyx and black crystal dragon brooch.
