GTA TeleGuam Introduces New Entry-level BlackBerry Service Plan
GTA TeleGuam announced a new entry-level service plan that allows customers with a BlackBerry® smartphone to add unlimited BlackBerry email and instant messaging to their regular voice plan for only $19.95 per month.
The new entry-level service plan — BlackBerry Simple — allows customers to access up to 10 supported personal and business email accounts as well as popular instant messaging services from their BlackBerry® smartphones. The new plan is available for customers that already subscribe to regular wireless voice services from GTA TeleGuam, which start at $19.95 a month.
“Now for as little as $40 a month, customers can make and receive calls and text messages as well as exchange email and instant messages on popular services like Google, Yahoo!®, AOL® and BlackBerry® Messenger,” said Andrew Gayle, Executive Vice President of Product Management for GTA TeleGuam.
“GTA TeleGuam is pleased to work with RIM to bring this attractive new offering to our wireless customers. BlackBerry Simple gives them the benefits of being connected with BlackBerry email and instant messaging, and provides a further incentive for cell phone customers to upgrade to a BlackBerry smartphone,” said Gayle. “This is what our customers have been asking for and we have worked closely with RIM to make this happen.”
“The BlackBerry solution is renowned for its industry leading messaging capabilities, and this new entry-level service plan offers an attractive new option for TeleGuam customers,” said Gregory Wade, Managing Director, Southeast Asia, Research In Motion.
Internet browsing and other data communications features are not available on the BlackBerry Simple plan. However, customers can easily upgrade the service plan at any time to experience the full data communications capability of the BlackBerry solution.
BlackBerry smartphones start at less than $150 with a two-year service agreement. Discounts are available for customers that bundle their smartphone service with other GTA TeleGuam communication services, including local and long-distance phone service, high-speed Internet access and digital television.
